Terms & Conditions

By enrolling your child in a Little Lights Academy class, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking.

1. Registration and Information

You confirm that all information provided upon registration is accurate and complete, and that you will notify Little Lights Academy immediately of any changes.

It is your responsibility to ensure we have up-to-date contact details for you and for all adults authorised to collect your child.

You must also inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that may affect your child’s participation before the start of each term or class, as applicable.

2. Behaviour and Conduct

Little Lights Academy promotes kindness, respect, and inclusion in all classes. If a child’s behaviour is deemed disruptive or unsafe, we reserve the right to temporarily or permanently exclude them from a class or venue if appropriate.

3. Class Attendance and Cancellations

If a class must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to severe weather, venue closure, staff illness, or events of force majeure such as epidemic, pandemic, terrorism, or government restrictions), class fees will not be refunded.

We will always endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and, where feasible, offer an alternative class or make-up session.

Classes missed by a pupil for any reason (including illness, holiday, or personal circumstances) are non-refundable and cannot be carried forward or exchanged for future classes.

4. Class Booking, Trials, and Payments

Your child’s space in a class is only confirmed once payment has been received.

A two-week trial is available for new pupils and must be booked and paid for in advance. Trial sessions must be attended on consecutive weeks as scheduled.

If you wish not to continue after the two-week trial, you must notify Little Lights Academy and cancel before the third scheduled class.

After the trial period, and the night before the third class, the remainder of the term’s fees will be taken automatically unless the booking is cancelled.

Holiday Camps

Once a holiday camp is booked and paid for, it is non-refundable.

5. Changes to Classes

We may change the class teacher or venue at any time. Should a venue change occur, we will make every effort to find a replacement within 5 miles of the original location and provide as much notice as possible.

We may also make reasonable adjustments to class content, structure, or schedule to maintain quality, safety, or group balance.

6. Parent and Carer Attendance

For our younger age groups (such as Little Light Dreamers), one adult may attend and participate per child, where specified.

Parents and carers attending class must remain respectful, supportive, and follow all teacher guidance to maintain a positive learning environment.

7. Liability and Safety

Little Lights Academy takes every reasonable step to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils. However, participation is at your own risk, and we do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.

Our maximum liability to you and/or the pupil shall be limited to the total amount of fees paid for the class in question.

8. Photography and Media

We occasionally take photos or short video clips during classes or performances for use on our website or social media.

You will always be asked to give explicit consent for any use of your child’s image. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing hello@littlelights-academy.co.uk.

9. Data Protection

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Little Lights Academy will store your contact and booking details securely and only use them to manage your child’s classes, communicate with you about updates, or send information you have opted in to receive.

We never share personal data with third parties unless required by law.

10. Term Dates and Holidays

Our term and holiday dates are published on the Little Lights Academy website. It is your responsibility to review these before booking or renewing a subscription.

11. General Terms

Fees paid are non-refundable.

We may cancel this agreement or refuse attendance at any time if necessary.

The failure of either party to enforce any of these conditions shall not constitute a waiver of them.

These Terms and Conditions, together with your booking, form the entire agreement between you and Little Lights Academy.

Any claims against Little Lights Academy must be brought within three (3) months of the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, and both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
