Our Little Light Dreamers classes offer a magical introduction to storytelling and performance. Through imaginative play, song, and movement, children begin to explore their voices, express emotions, and bring stories to life.
Our Little Light Storytellers classes build on imagination and expression, guiding children as they bring stories and characters to life. Through drama games, movement, and creative play, they learn to use their voices and bodies to communicate with confidence and joy. Each session encourages teamwork and creativity — from acting out adventures to sharing ideas and performing short scenes together.
Our Little Light Sparkles classes offer a magical first step into the world of ballet. Together, you and your child will share precious moments of movement, music, and imagination as they discover the joy of dance. Each session introduces simple ballet foundations through playful actions like skipping, twirling, balancing and stretching — all while helping little ones grow in confidence and coordination.
Our Little Light Shimmers classes are designed for children aged 3–5 years — a gentle next step on their ballet journey. In these sessions, little dancers begin to explore more detailed ballet movements while continuing to enjoy the magic, music and imagination at the heart of Little Lights. This class is loved by both children and parents alike. Grown-ups are invited to stay and watch as their child’s confidence blossoms and their creativity shines through.
Our Little Lights Stars class, designed for children aged 4–7 years, gently builds on ballet technique and musicality while keeping imagination at its core. Children begin to explore more refined steps, movement patterns and coordination — gaining a wonderful sense of pride and accomplishment along the way. At this stage, we encourage greater focus and concentration, introducing both individual and partner activities.
Our Little Light Beams classes are a natural progression from our preschool programme, guiding children as they continue to grow in confidence, artistry and technical ability. We also warmly welcome those discovering ballet for the first time — it’s never too late to begin their journey into the magical world of dance. At this stage, students start to refine their understanding of ballet technique, posture, and musicality while developing strength, balance and poise.

What age can my child start classes at Little Lights Academy?
Our ballet classes start from 2 years old, while our drama classes begin from 3 years old. Each class is carefully tailored to your child's age and stage of development, helping them build confidence, creativity and new skills in a fun, supportive environment.
What should my child wear?
Children can wear comfortable clothing they can move freely in for their trial classes. Once enrolled, we'll let you know about our uniform and any footwear needed for their class.
Do parents stay during the classes?
This depends on your child's age and class. For our youngest children, a parent or carer joins in or stays to watch. As children grow in confidence and independence, some classes become drop-off sessions.
Can my child try a class before joining?
Yes. We offer a two-week trial costing £14.50, giving your child the opportunity to experience our classes before committing to the rest of the term.
